Fares covered 43% of Link light rail operating costs in 2017 and 34% in 2019. The share fell to 8% in 2020, recovered to 16% in 2022 and 2023, and was 12% in 2024 and 2025, below the 17% minimum and 22% target Sound Transit adopted in 2024.
