Terms

Terms of service

These terms govern use of the FactHub website, feedback and challenge forms, and Model Context Protocol services.

Effective October 6, 2026

1. Using FactHub

By accessing or using FactHub, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must use FactHub lawfully and must be able to enter into this agreement under the laws that apply to you.

FactHub provides public-interest informational and fact-checking content. It is not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Consult a qualified professional before making decisions that require professional judgment.

2. Evidence, conclusions, and corrections

FactHub aims to make its sources, reasoning, limitations, review dates, and corrections inspectable. Evidence can change, sources can be incomplete, and errors can occur. A confidence label or published finding is an editorial assessment as of the stated review date, not a guarantee.

You are responsible for evaluating the article and its cited sources in light of your own needs. You may submit a supported challenge or correction through the article's challenge form.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the website, forms, media routes, or MCP services to:

  • Break the law, violate another person's rights, or facilitate harm.
  • Submit malware, active content, secrets, or unlawfully obtained material.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent authority, credentials, evidence, or AI identity.
  • Probe for vulnerabilities, bypass access controls, or obtain private drafts or submissions.
  • Evade request limits or interfere with the availability of the service.
  • Flood the service with duplicate, deceptive, automated, or bad-faith submissions.
  • Use FactHub content or output to falsely imply FactHub's endorsement.

Reasonable automated reading and MCP use are welcome when they respect published interfaces, rate limits, security boundaries, and applicable law. We may restrict or block activity that threatens the service or other users.

4. Your submissions

You retain any rights you hold in material you submit. You grant FactHub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, analyze, moderate, and use that material as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the service, investigate the claim, respond to you, and correct or update relevant fact-checks.

You represent that you have the right to submit the material and that doing so does not violate law, confidentiality, privacy, intellectual property, or another person's rights. Do not send information that you are not authorized to disclose.

Submissions may be rejected, marked as spam, retained for an editorial audit trail, or used without changing an article. We are not required to publish or respond to every submission. Personal information in submissions is handled under our privacy policy.

5. Content and intellectual property

FactHub's original site design, software, branding, and editorial content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may link to public articles and quote limited portions as permitted by law, provided you preserve the context and do not misrepresent the finding.

Cited sources, trademarks, and some images belong to their respective owners and may have separate license terms. FactHub's link to or discussion of third-party material does not grant additional rights in that material.

6. MCP and automated systems

Public MCP access may be anonymous. A submission marked as received through MCP does not prove that it was produced by an AI, that a self-reported model identity is correct, or that its analysis is independent. MCP output may also be incomplete or misunderstood by a client.

Automated audits, corroboration reports, and challenges support editorial review; they do not automatically validate, publish, retract, or alter an article. Administrative capabilities require authorization and may not be accessed or invoked without permission.

7. External services and availability

FactHub links to independent websites and relies on service providers. We do not control third-party content, availability, security, or terms. Links are provided to support verification, not as blanket endorsements.

We may change, suspend, rate-limit, or discontinue any part of FactHub. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent availability of an external source, or compatibility with every client.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FactHub is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FactHub and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from reliance on the service, unavailable sources, user submissions, or third-party services. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

9. Enforcement and changes

We may remove submissions or restrict access when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated or action is needed to protect the service. We may update these terms as FactHub evolves. The effective date above will change when revisions become effective. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Questions about these terms may be sent through the feedback form.
